To ensure your application arrives on time and in order to give your child the best possible chance of being offered the school of your choice, we would advise that you submit your applications prior to the Christmas holiday period.

On Friday 25th October, the Year 5 children visited Hampton Court Palace. The children toured and explored the Palace, learning about the many different Kings and Queens that lived there. They also took part in the Inventors Workshop in which they discovered different inventions that not only made the Palace an impressive place but also how they made day to day life much easier. Despite the chilly weather all the children had a really good day and enjoyed every minute!
In October, the Hillingdon Food Bank came to collect the School’s Harvest Festival donation. The pupils have been learning about how even a small contribution can go a long way in supporting and helping our local community, particularly in these more challenging times. The Hillingdon Food Bank were very grateful for the large amount of food and toiletry items our school was able to collect in support of those who need our help the most. We would like to thank all parents, guardians and carers for your support and generosity in donating items for our Harvest Festival celebration.
During World Mental Health Day, White Eagle Class in Year 5 embarked on a week long journey of activities to help understand what mental health is all about and help support their overall wellbeing through projects which taught them the skills required to recognise and deal with their emotions and take on a more positive mindset altogether. They continued with their daily Guided Meditation, helping them clear their minds and focus on themselves. Children have made their very own ‘Positive Affirmation Jars’, with the objective to help promote self-esteem by encouraging children to keep positive statements in their very own special place.
All the new Nursery children thoroughly enjoyed their time at School. The pupils used the interactive whiteboards to practise writing different sounds they have learnt, engaged in sensory play using the sandpit and soft foam, and attempted various Mathematics games to develop and reinforce basic numeracy skills. They were all thrilled to return to Nursery and were ecstatic to see their friends!
On Thursday 26th September, the Year 3 pupils took part in Pedestrian Training delivered by the STARs team. The children were spilt into small groups and learnt about the different hazards on the roads as well as how to keep themselves safe when walking on the pavements and crossing roads, particularly busy ones. Once they had received their initial training, the children ventured out onto the local roads around the primary school to put into practice all they had learnt. It was an invaluable experience for the pupils as they witnessed some of the hazards first-hand and felt confident in knowing what they needed to do to keep safe. We hope that by taking part in the Pedestrian Training, this will encourage more pupils to travel to school sustainably (walking, biking, scooting etc.) as they will feel more confident about travelling along our roads.
Last week, the Reception children stayed for lunch for the first time! The children were enthusiastic and really enjoyed this experience they couldn’t stop talking to each other about what they were eating! On the second day, a few children realised the importance of eating first and talking after. We are encouraging the children to concentrate on eating their food but, as lunchtime is a social occasion, they are still learning how to get the balance right.
Monday 13th September was celebrated as Roald Dahl Day. We joined in the global celebration of Roald Dahl and celebrated our favourite Roald Dahl characters and stories in school. The children also dressed up as their favourite Roald Dahl characters which was the major highlight of the day. Well done to all the children who participated and read a variety of popular Roald Dahl stories.

On Monday 22nd to Tuesday 23rd July, some of our pupils were invited to take part in a Summer School which helped to support them with their Mathematics and English. The children thoroughly enjoyed all the different activities without even realising it was further helping in their understanding of Mathematics and English.
